Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is one of Spain’s best kept secrets. It owes its name to a series of mountain ranges running headlong into the sea, forming rocky crags that give it a wild and rugged appearance. Between these headlands you will find small secluded coves, long stretches of glorious sandy beaches and pine groves running down to the water’s edge. The area boasts excellent sporting facilities including parachuting, hiking, cycling, horse-riding and of course golf courses abound. Golfers will delight in playing some of Spain’s most stunning courses, one of the best known is in Pals, sweeping right down to the Mediterranean coast. There is also a wide range of watersports, numerous marinas and yacht clubs.

Over the past few years we have noticed more and more people are starting to discover the real, unspoilt areas of Costa Brava and enjoying the unique Catalan culture and history which abound. Commonly referred to as the Begur Peninsula, the region is some 50 miles from the border between Spain and France. It is frequently compared to Tuscany and the French Riviera, for its scenery and architectural influences.
