SAN JUAN DE LOS TERREROS

is the most south western coastal town within the province of Almeria (region of Andalucia) located in a beautiful unspoilt corner and adjoining the region of Murcia (nearest large town being Aguilas). Terreros is renowned for its exceptional “family safe” gently sloping beaches and remains very popular with the Spanish every summer, many of whom have holiday homes here and de-camp to their home at the beach for the entire 3 months of school holidays! San Juan de los Terreros is easy to reach as the town is just 10 minutes easy drive from the AP7 toll motorway junction number 890. There is a weekly long distance coach service and the railway station at Jaravia just 5 minutes drive from Terreros town centre offers a twice daily train service that connects to Lorca and Murcia.
 
The excellent coastal motorway network, means that Almeria airport is 55 minutes drive, Murcia San Javier is 70 minutes drive and Alicante is 2 hours away. Corvera International airport will be about 80 minutes away once it is open.
 
Terreros has a lovely long paseo (esplanade) which always has at least one of the chiringuitos (beach restaurants) open all year round. There are also a few hotels/hostales and a good selection of bars and restaurants covering Spanish, Italian, Belgian, english and Chinese cuisine. Terreros has its own Health Centre, pharmacy, two large supermarkets, and a small selection of other shops. There are nightly markets and entertainment in the town square every July and August, and all kinds of activities year round at the modern Cultural Centre offering sea views from almost ever room.
 
San Juan de los Terreros has a wonderful micro climate as it is sheltered by the beautiful mountains of the Sierra del Aguílon which provide a stunning silhouette to our spectacular sunsets. Terreros also has all the facilities of a city right on its doorstep with the fishing port of Aguilas being just 8km drive away with its enormous town centre, shopping centre and Ten Pin Bowling and just 12 km from the largely agricultural town of Pulpi, the municipal centre to which Terreros belongs.
