For non-skiers there are many other exciting activities to enjoy including nature trials and wildlife watching routes, boat trips and the beautiful beaches of Calabria are only a short drive away.

The Camigliatello ski resort is the biggest resort in southern Italy and features 5 km of runs with various difficulties. A cable car takes you to the top of the peak where you find a restaurant at an altitude of 1800 m. at the base of the cable car station are quaint traditional wooden ski huts offering all ski services that you may require. Skiing is very affordable here, with full season, daily or weekly ski passes available at fantastically low rates.

The resort town of Camigliatello Silano is situated on an altitude of 1300m and is the most popular ski destination in southern Italy. Nestled deep in the mountains, close to the lake Cecita it is a focal point for tourism in the area with a vibrant atmosphere and many festivals all through the year. It is an orienteering paradise and with plenty of footpaths and climbing facilities in the surrounding mountains and forest. Camigliatello is about 30 km from the city of Cosenza and is easily accessible.
